Process

How it works, start to finish

A predictable, low-disruption engagement designed around how law firms actually operate. Every step is scheduled around your calendar.

01

Free Proprietary Exposure Review

Minutes, passive, no access needed

You submit your firm's domain and work email. We check public records and send back your results: whether your email can be spoofed, whether fake versions of your domain have been registered, and what else is visible to anyone looking. Nothing private is ever accessed.

02

Scoping call

30 to 45 minutes

We review the Proprietary Exposure Review findings together and assess whether a full engagement makes sense. You'll get a clear scope and directional figures before any commitment, no surprise expansions, no open-ended retainers.

03

Assessment phase

1 to 2 weeks, scheduled around your firm

A structured review of your controls, technical interviews with key staff, a look at your Microsoft 365 setup, and a scan of what your firm looks like from the outside. Most attorneys won't notice it's happening.

04

Hardening phase

1 to 2 weeks, changes coordinated with you

We implement the controls that close your critical gaps: multi-factor authentication, email spoofing protections, legacy access disabled, and external sharing locked down. Every change is documented before we make it.

05

Readout and roadmap

1 hour, partners and key staff

A plain-English partner briefing with before and after evidence, a one-page security summary you can hand to clients who send questionnaires, and a prioritized roadmap for what's next.

Why law-firm-specific matters

Your IT provider keeps the lights on. We've worked inside legal institutions and know what attorneys actually need to protect.

We complement your existing IT provider, not replace them. We handle the security program built around bar ethics, client obligations, and how legal work really flows — because we have operated inside it.

Your IT provider / MSP

  • Keeps the lights on and hardware running
  • Manages tickets, patches, and uptime
  • Rarely speaks to bar ethics or client questionnaires
  • Security is one line item among many

A law-firm-specific program

  • Fluent in ABA opinions and outside counsel guidelines
  • Understands trust accounting and wire-fraud exposure
  • Our team has operated IT and security inside a legal institution — not just advised from the outside
  • Security and professional responsibility are the whole job

Step one is free

The Proprietary Exposure Review takes minutes and costs nothing

Start with the passive review. If the findings show gaps worth addressing, we'll walk through what a full engagement looks like, with no pressure.

Must match your domain so another firm cannot request your review.

We use only public records. No login, no access to anything private.
